For lovers of history – and ominous prisons! – this should definitely be on your list of things to do.
St Botolph’s
Head to St Botolph’s in Aldgate to see an old Church – all religions, including those without one, are welcome. Wander through the building, admiring the architecture and beautiful stained glass, before learning about the incredible history of the site. From damage in the Blitz to the original Church that stood in its place, we definitely recommend learning more about this building as you walk around it.
Omescape Escape Rooms
Get away from the busy streets of London and enter a whole new world with our escape rooms. With plenty of different themes to choose from, including the family-friendly Kingdom of Cats, you can keep coming back until all the puzzles are solved! If you’re looking for us when you’re in Aldgate, simply search ‘escape rooms near me’ into your maps or follow the address on our website.
The Kingdom of Cats sounds cute, even whimsical, at first, but your team soon discover that humans are not tolerated in this realm of huge felines. King Jasper sentences you to death by a thousand scratches. Your only hope is to find clues, solve puzzles, and enlist the help of some of the kingdom’s friendlier animals.
Omescape London also offers a variety of VR escape and shooting games. Our VR escape games take the classic escape room experience into a fully virtual realm, while our VR shooter games are all about teamwork, skill, and blasting various targets to smithereens.
Choose from VR escape games such as The Corsair’s Curse, Eclipse, Huxley, and Huxley 2. Set aboard an enchanted pirate ship, the Corsair’s Curse sees your team transformed into wooden idols, forcing you to collaborate across spatial dimensions to solve puzzles, break the curse, and claim the treasure.
Eclipse transports your team into space, where you must try to find and rescue the missing crew of a spacecraft. Your mission will take you into various scenarios where you must find clues and solve puzzles.
Set in the year 3007, Huxley turns your team into humanity’s last survivors in a machine-led apocalypse. Do your best to find the source of infinite source of energy known as Huxley and reverse the apocalypse. A prequel, Huxley 2 transports you to a Victorian steampunk world where your team discovers that your father, the professor, vanished on his life’s quest to find Huxley’s location. Use his inventions to try and complete his work.
If VR shooting games are more your thing, you’ll love Omescape’s offering of Arizona Sunshine LBVR, After the Fall LBVR, Hero Zone, and Ghost Patrol. Arizona Sunshine takes your team into the desert, where you must scavenge and fight your way through a zombie apocalypse. After the Fall is set in a post-apocalyptic Los Angeles, where you need to outsmart and destroy vicious Snowbreed zombies.
Hero Zone lets you choose three of five minigames, namely Dead Ahead, ArrowSong, Cyber Shock, Quantum Arena, and Cops Vs Robbers. Ghost Patrol takes ghost hunting to the next level. Placed in a haunted manor house, you and your team must blast Colour Ghosts, collect power crystals, dodge moving furniture, find secret rooms and platforms, and work together to defeat the Ghost King.
With so much to choose from, you can be sure of an action-packed time in Aldgate.
Moonshine Saloon
Continue your immersive experience by heading to Moonshine Saloon. Here, you’ll bring your own bottle of booze and enter the wild west world of moonshining, where improv actors will make you forget you’re in the city at all! Head to the bar so one of their moonshine cowboys can mix you up a cocktail with the bottle you’ve brought.
