Escape Room: Expectation vs Reality
Put your thinking cap on and get ready to solve plenty of puzzles – escape rooms have hit the UK and they’re here to stay! With movie-quality sets and tasks that’ll certainly get your brain working, these challenge-based games are super fun and very interactive.
Expectation vs. Reality
To tell you more, we’re busting escape room myths to give you the low-down on the difference between expectations and reality.
Expectation: It’s Going to Be Easy
Reality: At Omescape, our puzzles are professionally designed to make you think – so don’t expect a quick escape! We work hard to make sure you get plenty of challenges, using high tech props, riddles, and tricky questions to create conundrums even Sherlock would be proud of. If you’re an escape room newbie, don’t worry! We have different simulations you can pick from that range in difficulty so you don’t have to jump in at the deep end.
Expectation: They’re Only Good for Rainy Days
Reality: London might be drizzly, but if you think escape rooms are just an excuse to escape the rain then you’re very wrong! They’re actually great for a lot of things – including being incredibly fun. From doing something a little different for your birthday to hosting a great team building event, there’s always an excuse for an escape room.
Expectation: It’s Not For Kids
Reality: True, little ones will probably struggle with our puzzles, but not all kids are exempt from the fun. In fact, any child from the age of 12 upwards will be able to join in with solving our puzzles and taking on our riddles. Of course, we do let younger ones participate, so it’s up to you whether you think they’ll enjoy the simulations. If you’re struggling to decide whether it’s the right activity for your child, you can always get in touch with us for more information, or check out the different types of rooms we have.
Expectation: It’s Claustrophobic
Reality: Our rooms aren’t too small and they’re not very cluttered; we understand this kind of game could cause some claustrophobia for some so we designed ours with this in mind. You can also get out of the room at any time you want, even if you haven’t completed the puzzle, and we’re more than happy to prop open the door if it makes you more comfortable. We want everyone to be able to enjoy our escape rooms, so we’ll do all we can to accommodate your needs.
If you’ve got any expectations or myths you need us to bust, let us know – we’re always happy to help!
